Back in the summer of 2011, Juan Mata was all but signed to be the next contestant in Arsene Wegner’s game of diminutive offensive wingers. Chelsea was busy courting Luka Modric to be an integral part of their organization, but Modric fled to Tottenham and The Blues had to act quick before the supporters felt that the higher ups got caught with their pants down around their ankles.
