You would things would be a bit more civil in an exhibition game, right? Maybe Argentina just brings it out of the opposing team with their long hair, scruffy beards and downright grittydirtyplay on the basketball court. Who knows, maybe Luis Scola has an issue with Oklahoma City Thunder players.

Spain vs. Argentina. Serge Ibaka vs. Luis Scola. Pushing vs. Shoving.

The two were staring at each other and talking in languages that I assume the other may or may not understand. (Okay, Ibaka probably knows Spanish from his younger days playing professionally at CB L’Hospitalet and Ricoh Manresa, but who knows.) Scola’s been a lightning rod for calamity, hijinks and tomfoolery on the basketball court in his last couple of games,and I’m assuming that he’s just in a cantankerous mood after getting amnestied by the Houston Rockets. Again, who really knows.

Oh, and Argentina got scraped by Spain. Lost by 20 points in fact. I wonder how the USA will fare against a strong Spain team Tuesday night. We’ll soon find out.
