20 years ago we the people were witness to the formation of the 1992 USA Basketball Team. The group wasn’t originally branded the Dream Team until they hit the court, as this was the first time NBA players had participated in the Olympics. However, once the team started dominating in the exhibitions, the dynamic presence the team had on and off the court, and the marketing hype that took over went full blast…the Dream Team was officially here.

To celebrate 20 years of iconic moments from Olympics past, Nike Sportswear has unveiled an animated film that recounts the matriculation of a team who earned that famed name of “The Dream Team”. The gold winning squad will be commemorated by Nike Sportswear with the Dream Team Destroyer Jacket.

As Ohio rapper Stalley narrates in the film released by Nike, from the various chenille patches, to the detailed graphics and embroidery that’s integrated throughout the jacket, the jacket and the film helps tell the story with the voices of Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, and David Robinson as they re-tell the gospel of their gold medal winning triumph. LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant also reflect on how the moments from Barcelona 20 years ago will be the plateau they reach for in London in a few weeks.
